About Emperous

Built from trust. Built for the work.

Emperous began with a simple idea: important organizations should not have to lose context, accountability, and hard-earned knowledge every time work moves between people, departments, or systems.

Today, we are building an Intelligence & Execution Management platform that helps engineering, fabrication, commercial, and public-sector teams keep the information and responsibility behind their work connected.

The work changes. The need for context, accountability, and continuity does not.

Our Origin

It started with a customer who called us back.

Emperous was incorporated in 2025, but the story began a year earlier when an established Alberta manufacturer of oil and gas equipment reached out for help.

Years earlier, the manufacturer had worked with a software company on an operational system. Josh Santos had contributed during the early stages of that work before moving on to another role. Years later, the manufacturer remembered how he worked and contacted him directly. That trust became the beginning of Emperous.

Step 1

Trust

An established Alberta manufacturer contacted Josh directly after several years because its team remembered working with him.

Step 2

Commitment

Josh left his existing role to help the manufacturer move forward. His family supported the decision and helped carry the early cost and risk.

Step 3

Discovery

Working closely with employees revealed a larger problem: critical work depended on information spread across spreadsheets, email, disconnected software, documents, and people's memories.

Step 4

Product

Instead of treating the problem as a one-off software project, the system evolved into a reusable platform that could adapt to how industrial organizations actually operate.

Step 5

Emperous

Josh, his sister Riza, and their father Ruel built a Calgary company around that idea.

What We Saw

Industrial companies know more than their systems do.

Experienced employees carry customer history, estimating judgment, supplier knowledge, engineering experience, exceptions, and lessons that often never become part of the organization's systems. At the same time, the work itself is fragmented across many separate places.

One Connected Operational Thread

A company should become smarter because experienced people worked there — not lose that intelligence when they leave.

Our Mission

Keep the knowledge behind important work connected to the work itself.

We want organizations to preserve what their people know, understand what is happening around them, make decisions from clearer evidence, and keep responsibility visible as work moves forward.

Technology should help an organization become more capable without taking authority away from the people responsible for the outcome.

Help organizations know more.

Decide with context.

Execute with accountability.

Learn from the work.

Continuity

The work should keep its history as it moves.

A customer request should not lose its context when it becomes an estimate. An estimate should not lose its assumptions when it becomes a project. A project should not lose its decisions when work moves into purchasing, fabrication, quality, delivery, reporting, or invoicing.

Emperous is designed around a continuous operational thread.

OpportunityEstimateProjectExecutionQA/QCDeliveryInvoiceLearning

Every handoff should carry the context of what came before it.

How We Think

A few principles shape how we build.

Accountability

Important work should have an owner.

Responsibility should remain visible. People should be able to see what is expected, what is late, what is blocked, and what happens next.

Respect Expertise

The people closest to the work know things the software does not.

Good systems should preserve and extend human expertise rather than pretend experience can simply be replaced.

Evidence Matters

Confidence is not the same as proof.

Where decisions carry consequences, people should be able to understand what information and evidence support the conclusion.

Capture Once

The company should not keep rebuilding information it already has.

Information created upstream should remain useful downstream whenever the people and processes involved are authorized to use it.

Learn From the Work

Every completed job should leave something behind.

Actual results, exceptions, decisions, lessons, and outcomes should improve the context available for the next opportunity and the next project.

Our Roots

A Calgary company built close to the industries we serve.

Emperous Solutions Ltd. was founded in Calgary by siblings Joshua Santos and Riza Geddes, with their father Ruel contributing decades of industrial engineering and regulatory experience. Together, the company combines software development, commercialization, and direct industrial experience.

Who We Serve

Different work. The same need for connected execution.

Emperous grew out of industrial operations, and engineering and fabrication remain central to how we think about complex work. The same underlying problems also appear in commercial and public-sector organizations: information becomes fragmented, responsibility moves between people, reporting becomes repetitive, and valuable context is difficult to preserve.

Community Impact

Better systems can give people time back for the work that matters.

As Filipino Canadians, the Emperous founders are especially proud to support the Philippine Consulate General in Calgary. One deployment replaced a highly manual monthly reporting process with a more structured workflow, allowing employees to complete reporting substantially earlier and spend less time manually assembling information.

The value was not simply faster software. It meant more staff time could remain focused on serving the community.

The Long View

Organizations should retain more of what they learn.

Our long-term goal is not simply to put more software in front of employees. We want every opportunity, estimate, project, decision, exception, and outcome to strengthen the organization's ability to understand what is happening and decide what to do next.

Execution becomes institutional knowledge.

Institutional knowledge becomes operational intelligence.

Technology With Boundaries

Better technology should strengthen human judgment, not erase it.

We believe intelligent software can help people retrieve information, understand context, identify patterns, reduce repetitive work, and prepare decisions. But consequential authority should remain with the people and organizations responsible for the outcome.

Technology assists. People remain accountable.

Emperous

Intelligence that gets work done.

We are building Emperous for organizations that want better visibility, stronger accountability, preserved knowledge, and a clearer connection between what they know and what they do.
