Ruel Santos

Bio

Ruel is a Professional Engineer and Engineering Graduate from the University of Manitoba. He is presently a Lifetime Member of APEGA. Ruel retired from Pembina Pipelines in 2020 after 43 years in the Oil and Gas industry. His area of experience spans from SE Saskatchewan, NE and SE Alberta, NW and West Central Alberta, and NE British Columbia. He worked as a Senior Production Engineer, Exploitation Engineer, Senior Operations Engineer, Pipeline and Facility Engineer, Development Engineer as well Manager of Engineering and Joint Ventures in Altana.

Ruel is familiar with deep and shallow well drilling well completion and operation of oil and gas wells equipped with artificial lift equipment. In addition, he is familiar with the regulatory environment of Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia and has constructed a pipeline replacement under the previous NEB regulatory environment, a cross border connection between BC and Alberta. Familiarity with Oil and Gas facility construction and operations. Ruel began his career with Gulf Canada Resources, then Silver Bay Resources, Altana, Canadian 88, Esprit, Provident Energy and finally Pembina Pipelines at retirement in 2020 a period of 43 years
